Inside the Quarries

A journey into the wounded heart of the Apuan Alps. A visual narrative of a mountain being consumed from within. These images tell the story of what happens far from our sight, in the heart of the mountain where marble is extracted. This is more than a reportage; it is a testimony to the pain of a land being hollowed out and destroyed, piece by piece. Through my lens, I enter the halls where rock gives way to profit, to show you what remains when natural beauty is transformed into debris.
